I am a PhD candidate in Alexis Battle’s group at Johns Hopkins University, and co-advised by Kenneth Pienta in Urology. My undergraduate training was in Biotechnology from Dr. D. Y. Patil University in India.
My research focuses on investigating relationships between genes to understand the genetic regulatory landscape of the human transcriptome. In many complex health conditions such as cancer, arthritis, autism spectrum disorder, etc., late diagnosis is linked to worse disease activity and patient outcomes. Gene networks provide an intuitive framework to examine critical biological pathways and genetic relationships underlying these complex phenotypes.
I am invested in applying my background in machine learning and genetics to discover interpretable biomakers for patient stratification, including early diagnosis.
